JUNKATEER 1999-2003 London based Junkateer consisted of Justin and Johnny of Idiot Joy fame. Rogan Roberts on bass (replaced by Dr.Dave Ranyard in 2001), Dave Bamford on drums (Dave has recently joined Idiot Joy) and Sean Quinn on percussion. Initially Junkateer started as a studio project with additional vocals by Lanni Roccillo. "Blipverts 4 Perverts" their first 4 track CD was quickly followed by their debut LP "Rude Movements". Once up and running as a live band, Junkateer played around London and Bristol in such venues as The Thekla, The Hope and Anchor and Herbal. As a live band they recorded just the one single, "Kids". Its B-side "Jam in A" has been adopted by Idiot Joy and performed live. Idiot Joy have also played "The Line", "Back-up" and "talkin all the same" at various gigs which were also originally conceived by Junkateer. |
